Service Guidelines

At Taoist Light Wellness, we are dedicated to helping those seeking powerful healing methods for physical recovery, transformation, or spiritual growth. We work best with individuals who are self-motivated, disciplined, and committed to maintaining a joyous practice routine. Our clients resonate with Taoist Light teachings and respect the lineage.

Our classes differ from exercise-like Qigong sessions. Instead, they offer concentrated and intensive training that quickly and effectively transforms health and life quality.

What is Remarkable and Unique about Taoist Light Qigong Training?

  1. Authentic Taoist Practice
Taoist Light Qigong originates from Lou Guan Tai Temple in Xi’an, China, the birthplace of Taoism. It is where Lao Tzu (571-471 B.C.) composed the Tao Te Ching, a guide to life.

  2. Personal Teachings, Not Videos
Our teachings come directly from a lineage holder in a particular formless, free-flow style. The power of the practice is transmitted through Qi from this 2,600-year-old lineage.

  3. Immediate Advancement
The Level I six-hour training immediately elevates you to an advanced cultivation level. We welcome both beginners and those with prior mind-body training, provided their practice does not conflict with the Taoist Light system.

  4. Unique Connection with Tao
Unlike Tai Chi Chuan or other Qigong styles (which we respect), Taoist Light Qigong goes beyond physical exercises. From the first class, you are connected to the Tao (the source of universal energy), a connection that benefits you for life.

  5. Exclusive Global Center
Taoist Light Wellness in Santa Barbara, USA, is the only official, authorized center for Taoist Light Qigong teaching and healing in the world.

  6. Customized Movements
In this training, you receive the “password” to connect with Tao and allow Qi to flow naturally through your body. Your movements evolve over time, supporting continuous progress toward the highest state of Taoist cultivation: Heaven and Human becoming one (Tian Ren He Yi).

  7. Comprehensive Learning Materials
When you attend in-person training, you receive a detailed instructional book with images to support your practice.

  8. Teaching Restrictions
You are not authorized to teach or share this practice with others after receiving the teachings. Mishandling this powerful force, like electricity, can cause harm. Past students who ignored this guideline have suffered physical and mental health issues.

  9. Expert Instruction
Chiyan Wang, the Taoist Light Qigong lineage holder, has over 40 years of experience in healing and teaching, stemming from a family tradition of Qigong masters.

  10. Supportive Groups
After completing Level I training, you are encouraged to join the guided group practice and group Qi healing sessions every Thursday from 10-11:30 AM (California time).

Detailed Descriptions of Taoist Light Qigong Level I

Taoist Light Qigong may appear simple, but it can quickly advance you to a higher level of practice if you can "let go" and "follow the naturalness." There are five stages in Taoist Light Qigong, each initiated with one posture and a meaningful word. These words contain higher energy vibrations, helping you connect to ancient enlightened consciousness—like receiving a password to the infinite energy field of the universe.

For example, in Stage 3, the word is “Guang” (光), meaning "light"—referring to Taoist Light, sunlight, brightness, the golden light, and the pure source of energy.

Functions of Each Stage in Taoist Light Qigong:

  • Section One
Builds up kidney Qi, the foundation of physical energy, helping with chronic fatigue, weak immunity, lower back pain, reproductive issues, and more.

  • SectionTwo
Enhances digestion and absorption, working on the stomach, spleen, liver, and pancreas, benefiting those with digestive disorders.

  • Section Three
Improves concentration, mental clarity, and memory, and helps calm excessive thoughts and sleeping disorders.

  • Section Four
Heals emotional trauma and loss, increasing inner peace and joy.

  • Section Five
Reconnects you with your true self and universal energy, receiving direct energy from the cosmos.

In conclusion, Section One and Two address the physical body; SectionThree targets the mental body; Section Four focuses on the emotional body; and Section Five elevates the spiritual body. Practicing Taoist Light Qigong for 30 - 60 minutes a day will purify you with healing Qi, maintaining your optimal health and overall balance.
